Do What Makes You Feel Good

I am on a quest for this. It's my goal, my "new years resolution," this year to focus on "feeling good" and doing things that make me feel good, since I've realized just how "un-good" I've been feeling lately, both physically and emotionally.
  • ​Does hiking in the mountains make me feel good? yes. So why don't I do that more?
  • Does eating bread make me feel good? nope. Makes me bloat up and feel horrible. So, why do I still eat it? (I am going on day 6 with no gluten, and my gut is already thanking me.)
  • Does stepping on a scale make me feel good? Nope. So, I choose to focus on how I feel, vs. what a number says I should feel.
This is my quest this year. Every day, I am more conscious of each decision I am making, and I ask myself does this make me feel good? does this make me happy? if the answer is no, I am working on avoiding that situation.  If the answer is yes, then I should do it more!  Seems so simple, right?
